Chomped down a couple hundred floppies and CDs August 2, 2005 12 out of 15 found this review helpful
I had to get rid of a huge box of 5 1/4 floppies and some CDs and it did the job like a champ. I also tried some 3.5 floppies and it took care of them with out a problem. It is very fast and completely destroys the items feed through the machine.
LOVE IT March 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Been using this over a year & still love it. Use it for paper, junk mail, everything. Only downfall is that you have to fold things first, but that's not a problem for receipts.
Great little shredder, especially for compact spaces.
We did put it over a different bin to accomodate more junk.

Works good, so far no problems. Shreds through CDs just fine.
Shredder good for paper, not for disks or CDs April 3, 2007 Shredding paper is one thing, but disks and CDs are another. This cheaper priced machine works for paper, but gets damaged when shredding disks. Obviously requires much more power and gears to shred a CD, which this is not well-designed for. My solution is to use it only for paper. As far as my confidential CDs, I use a Compact Disc Eraser, a new device that wipes out your data. Everyone who burns CDs and DVDs should have one. It's affordable, noise free, and very simple to use. It creates no waste particles, and promotes CD recycling - just dispose your erased discs inside any plastics recycling bin! Get one, and you will see that shredding CDs is a thing of the past...
worked for a while then jammed March 18, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had a stack of old floppies and CD's I didn't want to just toss out. This did the trick for a while. I did 6-8 floppies or CD's per day. After a couple weeks it started jamming on floppies then also on CD's. Finially it wedged a CD in so tight I couldn't free it. Seems nicely made but didn't hold up for me.
